The Development Authority of Walton County recognized the workforce challenges facing our community and created Walton Works in 2017. Walton Works exists to increase awareness of local industrial employment opportunities for Walton County residents and to strengthen the workforce pipeline for local industries. The initiative works in partnership with the Walton County School District, Social Circle City Schools, Student Success Alliance, Walton Chamber of Commerce and local industries.​​
